Las razones primarias que ayunan de nosotros dicen que "humíllese antes del señor y él le levantará para arriba". Éste es el humillar voluntario útil. En el viejo testamento, la gente ayunó y se arropó en harpillera y cenizas. Éste era todo el una manera de pelarse de orgullo y de egocentrismo. El autoengaño "se niega, toma su cruz y me sigue." Se está negando qué es la carne, que está en la guerra con el alcohol. Está buscando una bendición espiritual mientras que niega las cosas que dan placer a la carne. Es nuestro egocentrismo que es el obstáculo primario a la porción y dios el saber. Estando de luto (para el pecado, para la nación, para la muerte, el etc.) Deseo para algo. Hay siempre una esperanza subyacente el uno mismo-humillar. Un deseo para que dios perdone, a la ayuda, bendecir, cambiar nuestros corazones. Le da hora adicional de buscar a dios y el foco en él tenga hambre para la presencia real del dios.

I love it, too.

We sang many praise songs to GOD, some patriotic songs, and even songs of days gone by.
Bye, Bye Blackbird was a new one for me!

Mercy and Josh gave out Valentines as we hadn't
visited since before Valentines Day.

Baby Joseph behaved really well - I had left his
bottle at home on the kitchen table...
so he did very well indeed not to put up a big fuss!

Mr. Belvin played his harmonica and told jokes.

Mercy and Josh told jokes, too.
Then there were refreshments:
Lemonade and Oatmeal-Raisin cookies
YUM!

If you are being sad what you have isn't as nice as someone else's then you are truly NOT giving thanks for what you DO have. (i.e. What GOD has blessed you with).
