Praise God everyone!
my uncle junior santiago..well, i think i wrote and asked for prayer because he was getting a new liver and kidneys..but that fell through. he did not get them, but he is alive and well.
yesterday, my aunt called asking for prayer because he went straight into a coma. the doctors said his head was swelling and his lungs were filled with water and it wouldnt be long until he passed. i told her i would pray and get people here to pray...well you should know me, and if you dont i always forget things i should be doing. i know that our family was praying and his family was too. this morning, my aunt called and said he was doing great and he would be out of the hospital in a day or two! the Lord never stops blessing us! everyday i see a new blessing.
i just wanted you all to know the power of prayer!

I really should say, "we". (I am devorced and remarried.)

If "we" are, "we" are going to hell, aren't "we"?

If... the relationship I am in is 'adulterous' don't I need to renounce it - and stop living in that manner? Just as those in 'homosexuality' must renounce that sin and stop living after that manner....

Isn't that TRUE?

Keep preaching the truth...it can be hard to hear sometimes, but we're not called to sugar coat the Gospel, we're called to preach it in its orginal form...truth.

God is merciful and is quick to forgive our sins if we repent and turn to Him, but we can't just wink at sin either as though it's not that big of deal. God surely doesn't

I disagree - you aren't going to hell and anyone who has been divorced and remarried is not going to hell. If you are saved, meaning you have asked Jesus into your heart, have repented of your sins and have acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, you are saved. You are not going to hell. The Lord does not like divorce; He hates it, there are passages in the Bible that says how much he hates it. But at the same time, there are circumstances that make divorce necessary. We aren't condemned by being divorced and remarried. Perhaps we won't get the full blessings we would have gotten if we didn't divorce, I don't know. All I know is that it is believing in the Lord Jesus that saves you from hell - not whether you are divorced and remarried.

the TRUTH in LOVE

it takes a great deal of love - AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF LOVE
to tell someone they are on the wrong path....

for when you LOVE someone you sooo want them to love you, too
.....(think of your own dear child)
you foresee the danger awaiting them if they DON'T REPENT ..hell!

what if you tell them they are sinning and are going to hell?
Will your children be ANGRY and say that you are "JUDGING" them?
Will your children HATE you, because you are "no better" than they are?

But! The HEARTBREAKING, HEARTWRENCHING thought is this:

WILL THEY REPENT? or WILL THEY GO TO HELL HATING YOU ALL THE WAY?

The GOSPEL of the LORD is the POWER of GOD unto Salvation!

IF someone is going to repent - it is in response to THE GOSPEL!

SO....if we wish our loved ones (and GOD's loved ones) to be saved,
we MUST SPEAK UP! We MUST tell them the truth in LOVE.

Telling them the GOSPEL is their only hope!

Then they will at least have a choice, a chance. Otherwise, death is sure
and hell is waiting.

So, brave out into the battleground (for the enemy is awaiting your confrontation)
walk right up to the ones GOD (and you) love...and SPEAK.

SPEAK the GOSPEL, SPEAK with the HOLY SPIRIT's guidance, open your mouth wide and let GOD fill your mouth with GOOD things...and GOD give you the victory to recover them from the snare(s) of the enemy.

We who belong to JESUS. HAVE NO CHOICE.
We ARE HIS witnesses. It is who we ARE.
THE ONLY THING WE CAN DO IS TELL ABOUT HIM, AND WHAT HE HAS DONE
FOR US!

The role of Grace in Remarriage situations <Many Christians advocate that the Church should grant remarried couples grace rather than say they must separate and stop sinning. The church frequently misapplies the term grace to mean a catch all license that the church gives a person that allows them to acknowledge something is not God's ideal, but if it is difficult or inconvenient to follow God's way in that area, to disregard it (do what is right in their own eyes). This wrong application of the term grace is used in many areas of the Christian life not just divorce and remarriage. This philosophy has been very harmful to the church. Statistics show the beliefs and practices of many Christians are basically the same as those of non-Christians. The Church does not have authority to grant grace to a person in an area of sin and grant them permission/freedom to continue to sin. Over and over the Bible states "grace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ"

Jesus called remarriage sin. Therefore as Christians we do not have authority to grant a remarried couple grace to continue to live together. To grant grace to a remarried couple is rebellion against God. In granting grace, the church sets itself up as equal with God.

God grants grace in a divorce and remarriage situation when a person repents of their sin to God and to others, asks their spouse and others involved to forgive them, and forsakes the adulterous remarriage relationship. God totally forgives them. They do not have to earn "brownie points" or do a certain amount of good deeds to receive God's forgiveness. They are freed from eternal punishment in hell and are granted eternity with Jesus in heaven. That is God's grace, not a license to continue in sin or to do what is right in one's own eyes.

Why a remarried couple needs to separate

Jesus' command to the woman caught in adultery after He forgave her was "Go and sin no more" (John 8:11). Because remarriage is the living of one or two married persons with someone other than their spouse (in God's judgment), the remarried couple needs to separate. They need to repent of their sin and they need to remove themselves from their sinful adulterous situation if they are to obey God's command to go and sin no more. To look at it from a different perspective, it would be wrong for a man to live with and care for another man’s wife while the other man is still alive. A man has no business making commitments to another man’s wife and providing for her needs. It would be a violation of her marriage covenant to her husband to live with and care for another man even though they did not have sexual intercourse.

Because in divorce and remarriage the first marriage is not dissolved, the remarried couple needs to dissolve their remarriage situation and separate.

Cammie, I'll keep this issue and you in my prayers. I realize this is a difficult subject since God does not approve of divorce, but also He lists fornication as a reason acceptable to divorce, so it can be a hard topic expecially in today's American society. So I'll keep you in prayer and keep studying this myself. But trust in the Lord and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your pathers straight.

Cammie; thanks for doing this. Cammie, I just don't like the way you see yourself. May I ask my pastor's wife who I consider to be a wise woman what her answer would be to God's take on divorce and if you are an adultress? I won't mention names or circumstances. I think you are beating yourself up too much about it.

That was what I once believed, as well.

But then, I heard an anointed teaching, (I truly believe this brother had GOD's Word)...that said, we repent of sins, and we are forgiven. Although a divorce is a sin, a first marriage is not a sin.

Since a marriage is not a sin to be repented of, how can we ask forgiveness of it?....or a 'blotting-out' of it?

I'll be interested in that link if you find it, Cammie. A marriage is not a sin, but what led a person to leave a marriage could be a sin - i.e. unfaithfulness, pride, greed, lust, etc. So I believe that needs to be repented of.

I also believe that people who are contemplating divorce should not take it lightly and should try to restore and reconcile the relationship. I believe that is what the Lord ultimately would want us to do. Unfortunately, we live in a world where people are selfish and want to put their needs first and they will have to account for their actions when judge by the Lord.

"I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery" (Matthew 5:32; see also Matthew 19:9).

As we see here, JESUS is teaching.

HE has ALREADY said:

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. Luke 16:18

So, Divorce and Remarriage IS ADULTERY according to JESUS CHRIST.

ANY divorce and remarriage is ADULTERY.

JESUS is saying in this case: "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery" (Matthew 5:32; see also Matthew 19:9).

If a man divorces his wife because she was unfaithful, he isn't the CAUSE of her becoming an adulteress.

Matthew 5:32 in no way nullifys Luke 16:18

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

Mat 19:9

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Luk 16:18

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

I really should say, "we". (I am divorced and remarried.)

If "we" are, "we" are going to hell, aren't "we"?

If... the relationship I am in is 'adulterous' don't I need to renounce it - and stop living in that manner? Just as those in 'homosexuality' must renounce that sin and stop living after that manner....

Isn't that TRUE?

Keep preaching the truth...it can be hard to hear sometimes, but we're not called to sugar coat the Gospel, we're called to preach it in its orginal form...truth.

God is merciful and is quick to forgive our sins if we repent and turn to Him, but we can't just wink at sin either as though it's not that big of deal. God surely doesn't

I disagree - you aren't going to hell and anyone who has been divorced and remarried is not going to hell. If you are saved, meaning you have asked Jesus into your heart, have repented of your sins and have acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, you are saved. You are not going to hell. The Lord does not like divorce; He hates it, there are passages in the Bible that says how much he hates it. But at the same time, there are circumstances that make divorce necessary. We aren't condemned by being divorced and remarried. Perhaps we won't get the full blessings we would have gotten if we didn't divorce, I don't know. All I know is that it is believing in the Lord Jesus that saves you from hell - not whether you are divorced and remarried.

Bread of Sorrows? In Genesis, GOD says to Adam:
